Not Another Crayon in the Box...

This article began as a term paper for my advanced writing and pedagogy class. We were to research a writing topic within our future fields of study, so I chose the personal statement for medical school. My extensive research ended up turning it into a “how-to” guide for fellow pre-meds. In it, I relay tips from admissions committees on both content and presentation of successful personal statements.
